About Me
My journey with addiction started in 1986 as the spouse of an alcoholic. As his condition worsened, I found myself enabling and becoming more codependent to his behaviors.
In subsequent years, both of our children faced their own struggles with addiction; one with substances and the other with alcohol. I embarked on my personal recovery from alcohol in 2010 and have maintained 16 years of sobriety.
I became a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in 2021 driven by the desire to help families dealing with addiction. I currently support the Family Program at La Hacienda Treatment Center in Hunt, Texas. I firmly believe in the AA/Al-Anon 12-step program and include a Christian perspective in my counseling modality.
My passion lies in guiding families back to a path of health and happiness in their recovery journey. If you are seeking a StableHouse filled with peace and contentment and need support, you've come to the right place. I offer a variety of settings to choose from - individual, with family/spouse, or group sessions.
